Emerging Adult Growth Group
Group is about experiencing community with other people who are navigating the challenges of young adulthood in a complicated and rapidly changing world. This life coaching group helps participants identify meaningful projects for personal growth and development while giving them support along the way. At Emerging Strength we believe a dynamic mentoring experience is transformative when a group works to support and challenge the best in one another. What project would you take on, if you had unlimited support and coaching to help you do it?
You've been lied to
You are not lazy, fragile, incompetent, or useless. You have been robbed of difficult experiences. The theft of which was driven by an over abundance of caution, and a belief that you are something you're not.
Here's the truth...
Your generation has the same potential to change the world that other generations had at your same life stage.
You're different too. You face challenges at a pace never before seen. Rapid changes create uncertainty, everything is always changing and dealing with that takes flexibility that older generations struggle to comprehend.
It's hard to figure it out, find your way, and do your part; all at once. At Emerging Strength we want to help.

What happens at a group meeting?
Our small group meetings are designed to be engaging and supportive sessions focused on helping you navigate the challenges of young adulthood, cultivate inner strength, and find your path. Each meeting follows a structured yet flexible approach to maximize your learning and connection with others.
Here's an example of a what a meeting looks like:
(First 10-15 minutes: Social Gathering)
We begin each session with a brief period for informal connection. This is a chance to settle in, chat with other group members, and build a sense of community before we dive into the more focused activities.
(5-7 minutes: ACT Matrix Exercise)
Next, we engage in a brief but powerful exercise like The ACT Matrix, a visual tool to help gain clarity and focus, that comes from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
(Up to 30 minutes: Processing Important Parts of the Matrix)
Following the Matrix exercise, we'll collectively process the insights that emerged. The facilitator will guide a discussion, focusing on key themes and patterns that arise from the group's experiences with the Matrix.
This shared processing helps us learn from each other's experiences and gain a deeper understanding of our own patterns.
(30-45 minutes: Open Sharing of Struggles and Encouragement)
This is a dedicated time for open sharing. You'll have the opportunity to talk about your current struggles, challenges you're facing in "adulting," personal mastery, or finding your contribution, and how these relate to what came up during the Matrix exercise. The group provides a supportive and non-judgmental space to be vulnerable and heard. In turn, you'll also have the chance to offer encouragement, share your own insights, and connect with others on a deeper level.
(Last 10-15 minutes: Wrap-Up with Committed Actions)
To conclude the session, we'll focus on translating our insights into action. Drawing from the Matrix exercise and the open sharing, you'll be encouraged to identify 1-2 small, concrete actions you can take in the coming weeks that are aligned with your project. The facilitator will help summarize key takeaways and offer support for these next steps.
Key Takeaways:
Our group meetings are a blend of self-reflection using the ACT Matrix, shared learning and support, and a focus on taking practical steps towards your goals. You can expect a welcoming environment where you can explore your challenges, connect with others, and develop valuable insights and strategies for navigating young adulthood with greater intention and resilience.

The Glitchy GPS of Your LIfe
An ACT Metaphor
Yo, picture your life's journey as a digital map, like Google Maps, right? Except, for you right now, parts of it are straight-up missing. Like, "Data Unavailable" zones where you're trying to figure out your career, relationships, or even just what the heck you're supposed to be doing.
Some areas are familiar – maybe your family or hometown. But a ton of it is uncharted territory, constantly loading, with new paths and possibilities popping up like surprise updates. It can be kinda glitchy too. You see your friends' "maps" online looking super detailed and like they've got all the destinations pinned. You're over here with loading screens and "Route recalculating..." every five seconds.
Here's the thing: that's totally normal. Your life's GPS isn't gonna be fully loaded from the start. The map and everything that goes into it, builds as you explore. Keep exploring and the map will fill in.
Not feeling the video consultation?
Sign up for the waiting list. We will send you a link with the applicaiton and once that's received we can complete the interview to make sure you're ready to go.
